Drug Addiction and Mental Health Treatment at Cornerstone of Southern California

We offer multiple forms of substance abuse treatment programs in Florida designed to suit the needs of people seeking help. If you’re looking for a Florida rehab, we have a program to help you.

Residential Inpatient Rehab

Residential inpatient drug rehab treatment provides 24/7 care in a controlled environment after initial detox. It offers structured daily routines to support the recovery process. This program is ideal for severe addictions or when outpatient care isn't sufficient.

Key components include:

      Supervised inpatient care

      Individual and group therapy sessions

      Educational programs about addiction

      Life skills training

      Relapse prevention planning

Residential treatment provides a drug-free environment, peer support, and community living. It addresses co-occurring mental health issues, focuses on healthy coping mechanisms, and prepares individuals for daily life, often followed by outpatient care or sober living arrangements.

Family Program

At Cornerstone, we understand recovery involves more than the individual. Including loved ones in treatment drives higher success rates. Our family program empowers families with support and education at every stage of the journey toward mental health and substance use disorder recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

If you’re looking to enter substance abuse treatment but are worried about work or family obligations, an IOP may be the best choice for you. Individuals receive support and can access resources in treatment. But instead of staying at a facility, people can go home and put their lessons into practice in their daily lives. This can also be a good step-down option for those exiting inpatient treatment.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Also known as day treatment, a PHP is a good step-down program from more intensive treatment for those who feel they still need active support. People can enjoy being close to their support networks in the early stages of recovery but still take advantage of drug addiction treatment.

LGBTQIA2+ Community Support

At Cornerstone, we are proud to support our local LGBTQIA2+ community. We know that people of these communities experience much higher rates of addiction than the general population. We consider all aspects of a person’s life when developing individualized treatment plans, including their identities and personal histories.

Extended Care Program (ECP)

If relapse is a concern or if you’ve already been through treatment, our Extended Care Program may be the solution you’re looking for. We support individuals with compassion and without judgement. This program can also serve the needs of people facing a mental health condition alongside addiction, ensuring that care and attention goes into learning to live in a healthy way without addictive substances.

Sober Living

Support for sobriety comes in many forms, and returning to one’s home after treatment for substance abuse can sometimes trigger relapse. Our California sober living homes are designed to support the recovery process from the beginning. Each location houses up to six people, in addition to a live-in manager. Residents will have freedom of movement, so they can adjust back to pre-treatment life at their own pace.

Dual-Diagnosis Treatment

Dual-diagnosis treatment addresses addiction and mental health issues together, recognizing their interconnected nature. Our approach includes customized treatment to each individual's specific needs. Our aim is to help individuals improve overall mental health and maintain long-term sobriety.

Key components include:

Integrated care from a multidisciplinary team

      Psychotherapy (individual and group)

      Behavioral therapies

      Life skills training

      Relapse prevention strategies

Often involves longer-term care and support

      Treatment of both conditions concurrently

Alumni Program

Our alumni program at Cornerstone of Southern California guides clients from early treatment into aftercare, connecting them to a supportive fellowship. We aim to create a healthy atmosphere for continued healing, family reunification, and positive connections in sobriety.

CBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a highly effective therapeutic approach for mental health issues, focusing on identifying and restructuring negative thought patterns that lead to negative behaviors. It helps individuals gain control over their thoughts, fostering clarity and calmness in addressing challenges. CBT can be particularly beneficial for conditions like depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug addiction, OCD, PTSD, phobias, and eating disorders.

DBT

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) focuses on helping people learn how to manage intense emotions and cope with conflicting ideas. It helps individuals develop core recovery skills such as mindfulness and distress tolerance. DBT is highly effective for conditions like bipolar disorder, anger management issues, and PTSD, particularly among individuals who deal with intense emotions.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy helps people heal from traumatic memories. During EMDR sessions, a therapist guides the patient to focus on distressing thoughts while moving their eyes back and forth. This process helps reprocess traumatic memories, reducing their emotional impact. By reprocessing these traumatic memories, EMDR helps individuals better process their trauma inside and outside therapy.
