Cornerstone of Southern California, Celebrating 40 Years

Marking 40 Years of Addiction Treatment Recovery and Healing

2024

For four decades, Cornerstone of Southern California has been delivering empathetic addiction treatment with a strong emphasis on community support. In 1984, Dr. Michael Stone founded Cornerstone in Southern California and began its first sober living home. Cornerstone of Southern California now offers a comprehensive range of addiction treatment services, including detox, primary rehabilitation, an extended care program, and outpatient treatment. In addition to these services, the center has 16 CCAPP-certified recovery homes that are fully licensed and staffed with certified professionals. Today, Cornerstone of Southern California employs over 70 people and has treated more than 55,000 patients under Dr. Stone’s leadership, consistent care, and support. Our team is dedicated to providing dependable, trustworthy treatment to individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. After forty years, we continue to provide compassionate and community-focused support to those struggling with addiction, helping them achieve their goals and live a healthy, fulfilling life. We are committed to our future mission and will continue to offer the same level of care and dedication to those who need it. Cornerstone of Southern California welcomes you to join us in celebrating our 40th anniversary. We thank everyone who has been a part of our long history of addiction treatment recovery and healing.

Dr. Stone acquired what is now referred to as “Yorba House,” a residence with six beds, managed by the dedicated Eva. Dr. Stone gave up his own vehicle, a 1975 Ford Country Squire, so Eva could drive residents to meetings, appointments, and grocery shopping. Over time our commitment to accessibility continued, and now we have ten vehicles available to ensure our community members can easily get around and receive the support they need.
