If you’re looking for rehab Aliso Viejo, CA, you’re probably not just looking for a place to go. You’re looking for answers, clarity, and a plan that actually makes sense for what you or your loved one is going through. At Cornerstone of Southern California, we understand that addiction can affect every part of life - your health, your relationships, your confidence, your routine, and your ability to feel stable from one day to the next. That’s why we offer more than one kind of treatment. We provide a full continuum of care, including support, primary residential care, extended care, day treatment, day or evening outpatient programs, and licensed recovery homes, so we can help people begin recovery at the level that fits them best.

What matters to us is not just helping someone stop using substances for a short time. What matters is helping them build a foundation for long-term recovery. Our approach is compassionate, personalized, and grounded in evidence-based care, because we know recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Some people need structure and stability right away. Others need support that can fit around work, family, or school. Many need help for both addiction and mental health at the same time. Our job is to help make that next step clear and support it with the right level of care.

Looking for Drug & Alcohol Rehab Serving Aliso Viejo?

When people come to us from Aliso Viejo, they are often carrying more than one burden. They may be struggling with alcohol or drug use, but they may also be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, family strain, or a relapse pattern that has made it hard to trust treatment. At Cornerstone, we don’t separate those issues from the recovery conversation. We recognize that substance use and mental health often overlap, and our treatment model reflects that. We provide addiction treatment alongside support for co-occurring mental health conditions because we believe recovery is stronger when the whole person is being treated.

We also know that choosing rehab is about more than finding a provider. It’s about finding a place where you feel supported, understood, and guided. Cornerstone is family-run and community-focused, and that matters to us. We believe connection, accountability, and consistency are a major part of long-term healing. For someone in Aliso Viejo who is trying to decide what happens next, our goal is to offer a clear path forward, one that starts with honest assessment and continues with the kind of treatment and support that recovery actually requires.

Steps to Recovery at Cornerstone: Inpatient, Outpatient & Long-Term Programs

At Cornerstone, recovery begins with understanding what you truly need. That is why we start with a comprehensive assessment. We use that first step to look at substance use history, mental health symptoms, relapse risk, physical stability, and day-to-day functioning so we can recommend the most appropriate level of care. We do not believe everyone should be placed into the same program. We believe treatment should be individualized from the beginning.

From there, we may recommend residential treatment, day treatment/PHP, IOP, extended care, or licensed recovery housing depending on the situation. Our services are designed to work together, which means treatment can evolve as recovery evolves. If you need more structure, we can provide that. If you are ready to step down into more independent recovery while keeping support in place, we can help with that too. This continuity matters because many setbacks happen during transitions, and our goal is to make those transitions steadier, safer, and more connected.

  • Initial Assessment: A clinical evaluation helps determine the most appropriate starting point for care.
  • Inpatient / Residential Rehab: A highly structured environment focused on stabilization and early recovery.
  • Dual-Diagnosis Treatment: Integrated care for substance use and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, or trauma.
  • Sober Living Support: Access to licensed sober living homes for continued structure.
  • Post-Treatment Care: Stay connected through ongoing support, alumni connection, and continued recovery planning.

Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Programs Serving Aliso Viejo

We offer alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs because recovery is rarely a single event. It is a process. We offer continuum of care built to support people through different stages of healing, from early stabilization to long-term relapse prevention and life rebuilding. That means we are not only focused on the first few days or weeks. We are focused on what recovery looks like over time.

For people in Aliso Viejo, this can make the idea of rehab feel more practical. You may need to begin with a higher level of support and later move into outpatient treatment. You may need mental health treatment integrated into addiction care. You may need extra time in extended care or sober living before returning fully to daily life. Because we offer multiple levels of care, we can support those stages more deliberately rather than treating rehab like a short isolated episode.

Drug Rehab Serving Aliso Viejo, CA

Drug addiction can affect nearly every part of a person’s life - physical health, mood, sleep, relationships, decision-making, work performance, and self-worth. We describe how addiction can impact every part of life, and we approach care with that reality in mind. We do not treat addiction like a narrow problem. We treat it like something that needs medical, emotional, behavioral, and practical support all at once.

We also treat a wide range of substance use disorders, including opioid addiction, fentanyl addiction, heroin addiction, meth addiction, cocaine or crack addiction, MDMA addiction, alcohol addiction, and multiple-substance addiction. For someone in Aliso Viejo searching for drug rehab Aliso Viejo, what usually matters most is not just whether help exists, but whether that help can be personalized. At Cornerstone, that is exactly how we frame treatment: individualized care, extensive support, and a long-term recovery focus.

Support for Overcoming Drug Dependence

Trying to stop using drugs without support can be overwhelming. Cravings, insomnia, emotional instability, depression, anxiety, and the pressure of daily triggers can all make early recovery fragile. That is why we do not reduce treatment to “just stop using.” We build treatment around stabilization, structure, therapy, and continued support because lasting recovery usually requires all of those things working together.

For many people, the most important part of recovery is not just getting through the first phase, but staying connected to care as life begins to open back up. That is why our programs are designed to step up or step down as needed. If you begin in one level of care and later need more or less support, we work to keep treatment aligned with your needs instead of forcing you into a one-track model. For Aliso Viejo residents, that kind of flexibility can make recovery feel more realistic and more sustainable.

Alcohol Rehab Serving Aliso Viejo, CA

Alcohol addiction can quietly take over daily life. It can affect sleep, energy, relationships, concentration, emotional stability, and physical health long before a person feels ready to ask for help. We address both the physical and psychological aspects of alcohol dependency because long-term sobriety usually requires more than just stopping drinking. It requires understanding the role alcohol has been playing and replacing it with healthier ways of coping and living.

For someone looking for alcohol rehab Aliso Viejo, that whole-person approach is important. We want treatment to help you stabilize safely, but we also want it to help you understand the patterns behind alcohol use, the situations that reinforce it, and the tools you will need after formal treatment becomes less intensive. That is why our broader continuum — residential care, PHP, IOP, extended care, and recovery housing — matters so much.

Medically Supervised Alcohol Withdrawal

Alcohol withdrawal can be serious, and in some cases dangerous, which is why detoxification can be a critical part of the treatment process. Our team supports clients through those first difficult days with medical and clinical care in place.

For someone in Aliso Viejo, the safest next step is usually not trying to guess whether withdrawal will be manageable alone. It is reaching out so we can help determine whether medically supervised withdrawal is the right starting point before residential treatment, PHP, or IOP begins. Starting at the correct level of care can improve safety, comfort, and the overall strength of the recovery plan that follows.

Dual‑Diagnosis Mental Health & Addiction Treatment Serving Aliso Viejo, CA

At Cornerstone, we recognize that addiction and mental health often go hand in hand. We treat co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders together because both conditions need attention for recovery to be sustainable. We specifically reference conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, schizophrenia, ADHD, BPD, and trauma-related disorders as examples of concerns that may overlap with addiction.

This matters for Aliso Viejo residents because untreated mental health symptoms can keep sobriety unstable. A person may stop using substances temporarily, but if panic, depression, unresolved trauma, or chronic emotional distress remain untreated, relapse risk often stays high. Our dual-diagnosis approach is built around integrated care, individualized planning, and a belief that treating the whole person gives recovery a stronger foundation.

Types of Alcohol & Drug Rehab Programs

Our services include detoxification support, primary residential care, day treatment/PHP, day or evening outpatient treatment/IOP, extended care, and licensed recovery homes. We also describe those services as part of one broader treatment system rather than separate disconnected offerings.

That matters because recovery often changes over time. Someone may begin with detox and residential treatment, then step into PHP, then IOP, then extended care or sober living while continuing therapy and relapse-prevention work. For someone in Aliso Viejo, the value of that system is not just access to programs. It is access to the right program at the right stage, with continuity still in place.

Meth and Amphetamine Rehab in Aliso Viejo, CA

We include meth addiction and stimulant addiction treatment among the substance use disorders we address, and we emphasize individualized care for each person entering treatment. Stimulant addiction can affect sleep, thinking, mood, and emotional regulation in ways that make recovery especially difficult, which is why structured treatment and continued support are often so important.

For someone searching for meth rehab Aliso Viejo, what usually helps most is a treatment plan that restores consistency and stability over time. That may mean beginning in a more supportive setting and later transitioning into outpatient care, therapy, relapse-prevention work, and recovery housing or alumni support as needed. Our continuum is designed to make that progression possible.

Cocaine Rehab in Aliso Viejo, CA

We also treat cocaine and crack cocaine addiction as part of our broader addiction services. Cocaine use often follows a cycle of intense use, emotional crash, craving, and return to use, which can make recovery difficult without structure and support. Our treatment model is built around more than immediate abstinence. We focus on helping clients understand triggers, stabilize emotionally, and build the routines and coping tools needed to maintain progress.

For Aliso Viejo residents, that means useful cocaine rehab is not just about getting through a crisis. It is about interrupting the larger cycle that keeps the addiction going. A treatment plan that combines therapy, structured care, dual-diagnosis support when needed, and step-down services can make a significant difference in long-term recovery.

Types of Addiction Rehabilitation Treatment Programs at Cornerstone

What makes our treatment model distinct is continuity. We describe care that can continue from detoxification through residential treatment, PHP, IOP, extended care, counseling, family support, and licensed recovery housing. We do not treat recovery like a one-time event. We treat it like a process that often requires sustained attention and different kinds of support over time.

That continuity can be especially valuable because many setbacks happen during transitions. If a person loses structure too quickly or has to begin again with a completely different provider every time their needs change, recovery can feel fragmented. Our goal is to make those transitions steadier and to keep treatment connected as people move from more intensive care into everyday life.

What We Treat at Our Rehab Center Near Aliso Viejo – Alcohol, Drug & Co‑Occurring Disorders

We treat alcohol addiction, opioids, fentanyl, heroin, meth, cocaine or crack, MDMA, multiple-substance addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions. We also offer integrated mental health care for conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, schizophrenia, BPD, and trauma-related disorders.

  • Alcohol addiction
  • Opioid and fentanyl dependence
  • Heroin addiction
  • Methamphetamine addiction
  • Cocaine addiction
  • Prescription drug misuse
  • Cannabis use disorder
  • Polysubstance use
  • Co-occurring mental health conditions

This matters because many people do not come to treatment with “just one issue.” Substance use may overlap with chronic stress, grief, trauma, depression, or anxiety, and those issues can reinforce each other. Our belief is that recovery is stronger when treatment reflects the full picture instead of only the most visible symptom.

Addiction Counseling & Therapies Offered

Our counseling model is built on evidence-based therapies and interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), schema-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy. We also use integrating well-being activities such as yoga, meditation, exercise, music therapy, and structured daily routines into treatment.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Trauma-informed therapy
  • Group counseling and peer support
  • Relapse prevention education
  • Life-skills development

For Aliso Viejo residents, that means therapy with us is not just about talking in broad terms about addiction. It is about learning how to identify triggers, change destructive thinking patterns, regulate emotions more effectively, repair trust, build healthier habits, and develop tools that still work once formal treatment becomes less intensive. We also believe family involvement matters, and our family program reflects that belief by offering more support, education, and empowerment to loved ones.

What to Expect During Rehab – Assessment, Inpatient & Ongoing Care

Personalized Addiction Treatment in Aliso Viejo

No two addiction stories are alike. That’s why our team performs a thorough assessment of each client’s medical history, substance use, mental‑health conditions and personal goals before recommending a course of treatment. By tailoring therapy, medication and lifestyle interventions to the individual, we ensure that each client receives the right combination of services at the right time.

Inpatient Rehab Aliso Viejo

Cornerstone’s inpatient program takes place at our Aliso Viejo County campus, but it serves many Aliso Viejo residents. Clients live on site for about four weeks, immersing themselves in therapy, group work and wellness activities without the distractions of everyday life. This secure environment allows individuals to focus on healing and build a foundation for lasting sobriety.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our IOP helps clients transition from residential treatment or enter care while maintaining work or school commitments. Sessions include individual counseling, group therapy, educational workshops and relapse‑prevention planning. IOP can be a critical support for Aliso Viejo residents who want intensive services without a residential stay.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

For individuals who are dealing with substance use, mental health, or behavioral issues and need an in-depth level of care without the full hospitalization requirement, a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) may be just what they require for their recovery journey. PHP's provide clients a crucial step towards achieving healthy lifestyles free from drugs and alcohol addiction along with restoring happiness to their lives.

Extended Care Programs

Cornerstone's Extended Care Program (ECP) is here to help bridge the gap between drug and alcohol treatment and leading a successful life in sobriety. Even with renewed hope from completing initial rehabilitation, relapse can still be an issue for many individuals. To mitigate this risk of relapse occurring, ECP provides additional support throughout one’s recovery journey beyond their existing treatments - giving greater assurance on sustaining long-term addiction freedom.

Sober Living in Aliso Viejo

At Cornerstone Sober Living, we strive to provide adults aged 18 and over with a secure and supportive environment conducive to their continued recovery. Our licensed recovery homes feature six residents per house, each managed by a live-in manager available 24/7 in case of any housing issues. Clients are given the freedom they need while being strongly encouraged towards independence - making it an ideal setting for those enrolled in our Extended Care Program, Day Treatment (PHP), or Intensive Outpatient Treatment program!

BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! I called Cornerstone on my own accord when I knew I needed help and could not detox or handle my alcoholism on my own anymore. Going to a rehab facility is a scary thought, but once I arrived all fear and anxiety disappeared, I knew I was in a safe place. The staff makes every effort to make sure that you are comfortable. Group sessions with the counselors have taught me lessons that will be with me for life. I have learned more about myself in the short time I was at Cornerstone, than I have in my entire 32 years at of life

Drug Addiction Assessment

The journey begins with a confidential assessment conducted by a licensed professional. We evaluate substance use, mental‑health history, medical conditions and personal goals to determine the appropriate level of care. This comprehensive evaluation forms the basis of a personalised treatment plan.

Inpatient Rehab

Clients entering our residential program stay at Cornerstone’s Orange County campus. A typical day includes individual therapy, group sessions, relapse‑prevention classes, recreational activities and nutritious meals prepared on site. Our secure environment removes the triggers of daily life so clients can focus fully on recovery.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment

Outpatient care (IOP and PHP) allows individuals to participate in treatment while continuing with work, school or family responsibilities. Clients attend scheduled therapy sessions, join support groups and participate in educational workshops designed to build resilience and prevent relapse.

Ongoing Addiction Care

After completing formal treatment, clients are encouraged to participate in ongoing care. This may include alumni meetings, peer‑support groups, therapy sessions and sober social activities. Directions from Aliso Viejo, CA to Cornerstone’s Orange County Programs

Our main contact address is 1950 17th St #150, Santa Ana, CA 92705, and we offer Orange County treatment services across multiple levels of care. Because the right starting point may vary based on whether detoxification, residential treatment, PHP, or IOP is recommended, the most useful next step is usually to speak with admissions so we can confirm the correct entry point and provide the most relevant directions.

How do I know which rehab program is right for me in Aliso Viejo?

The right starting point depends on several factors, including the severity of substance use, any co-occurring mental health concerns, your home environment, relapse history, and how much structure you need right now. We begin with a confidential assessment so we can recommend the level of care that best supports your recovery, whether that means detox support, residential treatment, PHP, or IOP.

Do you have a rehab facility in Aliso Viejo?

We serve Aliso Viejo residents through our Orange County treatment programs. Our goal is to help you access the level of care that fits your needs while still receiving the structure, support, and continuity that are so important in early recovery.

    What addictions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of substance use disorders, including alcohol addiction, opioid addiction, fentanyl addiction, heroin addiction, methamphetamine addiction, cocaine and crack addiction, prescription drug misuse, MDMA addiction, cannabis-related problems, and multiple-substance addiction. We also provide support for co-occurring mental health conditions.

Do you treat addiction and mental health together?

Yes. We provide dual-diagnosis treatment for clients who are dealing with both substance use and mental health concerns at the same time. Treating both together often creates a stronger foundation for long-term recovery than treating only one side of the problem.

What is the difference between residential rehab, PHP, and IOP?

Residential rehab offers the highest level of structure in a live-in setting with around-the-clock support. PHP provides intensive daytime treatment without overnight stays. IOP is a flexible outpatient option for people who need continued treatment while balancing work, school, or family responsibilities.

What happens after residential treatment ends?

Recovery does not end after inpatient care. Many clients continue with PHP, IOP, extended care, recovery housing, aftercare, or alumni support so they can keep building stability, accountability, and relapse-prevention skills as they transition back into daily life.

Do you offer medically supervised alcohol withdrawal?

If alcohol withdrawal support is needed, we can help determine whether detox is the safest place to start before moving into the next phase of treatment. Beginning at the right level of care can make recovery safer and more stable from the start.

Can I continue working or going to school while in treatment?

Depending on your clinical needs, outpatient options like PHP or IOP may allow you to continue treatment while managing work, school, or family responsibilities. We help determine the best fit based on how much support and structure you need.

Do you accept insurance for Aliso Viejo residents?

We work with most major insurance plans and can help verify your benefits before treatment begins. Our team can also walk you through what levels of care may be covered and what next steps make the most sense for your situation.

How long does rehab usually last?

Treatment length varies based on the individual, the level of care, and progress in recovery. Some clients begin with detox or residential treatment and continue with PHP, IOP, extended care, or recovery housing for additional support over time.

    Is treatment confidential?

Yes. Admissions and treatment conversations are confidential. You can speak with our team privately about your needs, concerns, and treatment options.

    What makes Cornerstone different?

We believe recovery works best when care is personalized, connected, and built for the long term. Our continuum of care allows clients to move between levels of treatment as needs change, while continuing to receive support through counseling, relapse-prevention education, aftercare, and recovery resources.
