Why Cornerstone?

Our approach is completely flexible. If a client in a lower level of care is having a difficult time, instead of having to ask them to leave, we are easily able to move them up to a higher level of care without disrupting their experience with us. This ability is unlike many other treatment centers who generally need to move a client away from the newfound security they have discovered, if they are unable to manage with the level of care offered.

Addiction Treatment Programs Costa Mesa, CA

Costa mesa Rehab facility

We realized that when dealing with sufferers of substance abuse disorders, we would often be dealing with traumatized individuals. One of the most vital elements for stabilizing a trauma survivor is being able to make them feel safe. By ensuring that anyone who enters our programs will be able to remain, whatever issue they present with, in one continuous program surrounded by staff they know and trust, as well as peers that they have come to call friends, means we can guarantee a sense of security for everyone who walks through our doors.

Level of care: Types of addiction treatment we provide

If you are thinking about an alcohol or drug rehab treatment program and don’t know where to begin, we can begin you on the right path to freedom from addiction. If you are looking for a facility that provides detoxification, primary residential care, extended care, day treatment, day or evening outpatient programs, or a licensed recovery home, then look no further than Cornerstone of Southern California. If you have legal problems as a result of drug or alcohol use, we can advise you on the best route forward.

Inpatient Rehab Costa Mesa

The structure that inpatient treatment at Cornerstone provides, creates an ideal environment for you to tackle a wide range of mental health and addiction issues; space away from high-risk environments allow for the removal of negative influences that may have contributed to your current mental health challenges, and gives you some time to develop mental clarity.

Medical Detox Costa Mesa

The detox process at Cornerstone involves round-the-clock medical support and nursing supervision. Our trained addiction detox team is available to help anyone suffering from an alcohol or drug dependency. Our addiction specialists provide comfort and care, gently guiding patients through the personal process of detox.

Intensive Outpatient Program

There are times in which a person isn’t able to, or doesn’t require, our inpatient treatment programs to address their addiction problem. In these instances, we adjust our standard approach and plan for addiction treatment around the individual to offer an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Partial Hospitalization Program

A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a type of treatment model that provides a thorough level of care to individuals suffering from mental, behavioral, and substance use disorders without requiring complete hospitalization or staying at a treatment facility. For drug recovery, this can be an important part of a person’s transition back to a healthy, happy, and sober life.

Extended Care

Cornerstone’s Extended Care Program has been designed to bridge the gap between drug and alcohol treatment and a return to normal life. Historically we have witnessed clients that complete the initial detox and treatment phase of recovery without too much of a struggle. They leave with renewed hope and confidence for living a drug and alcohol-free life. Unfortunately, and sometimes fatally, relapse still occurs. Our extended care program aims to negate the occurrence of relapse.

Sober Living

Cornerstone’s licensed recovery homes are for adults aged 18 and over. There are six residents in each home, each residence has a live-in manager that can address any housing issues as they arise. You will have the freedom to come and go as you choose, and we encourage client independence. We see Cornerstone sober living as an opportunity to further the treatment process in a productive environment.

Thank you Cornerstone. My Case Manger Juliet gave me the guidance and support I needed to begin my recovery. The staffs compassion and knowledge of addiction treatment gave me the tools for recovery. The continued support of the Alumni program led by Lauren and aftercare case mgmt. by Tom & countless others has helped me achieve 9 months of sobriety as of today. Something I never believed possible. It does work if you work it, one day at a time.

BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! I called Cornerstone on my own accord when I knew I needed help and could not detox or handle my alcoholism on my own anymore. Going to a rehab facility is a scary thought, but once I arrived all fear and anxiety disappeared, I knew I was in a safe place. The staff makes every effort to make sure that you are comfortable. Group sessions with the counselors have taught me lessons that will be with me for life. I have learned more about myself in the short time I was at Cornerstone, than I have in my entire 32 years at of life

What to expect during Rehab

The specifics of what you can expect during rehab will depend on the type of treatment program you are in and your individual needs and goals. In general, however, you can expect the following during rehab:

Drug Rehab Costa Mesa

Drug Addiction Assessment #1

The first step to recovery is understanding. We offer free and private drug addiction assessments to anyone who is concerned that they may require alcohol or drug rehab. At a pre-admission assessment, you will speak with one of our addiction specialists as they work to discover the scope and depth of your substance abuse, the impacts it has had on your life, and your current living situation. They can also point out any mental health issues that may be present in addition to the addiction. A dual diagnosis is a medical approach to drug abuse treatment that recognizes the connection between emotional well-being and mental sickness and substance use disorders.

Drug Detox Costa Mesa #2

The next stage is to begin a detox, which is the process of the body eliminating toxins (in this case, the substance of abuse). Detoxification, or detox, refers to both the natural process that takes place when your body rids itself of poisons (in this case, the drug) and also the medical procedure that aids it. Intense withdrawal symptoms affect individuals who have been binging or using a drug for an extended period. Depending on your demands, which are evaluated on a regular basis, we provide medication-assisted treatment and support at our drug and alcohol detox facilities. We put the health and well-being of our clients above all else.
Alcohol Rehab Costa Mesa

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment #3

The vast majority of our clients choose to continue with us for our twenty-eight-day inpatient residential treatment program at Cornerstone. We encourage our clients to devote their whole attention and effort during the duration of the program by visiting one of our pleasant, modern campuses. Inpatient care provides patients with 24-hour medical supervision on a substance-free campus, where they may use the beautiful state-of-the-art treatment centers filled with dynamic activities and peaceful downtime to meditate and reflect. You’ll also get a full program of physical and occupational therapy, fresh, nutritious meals prepared on-site, and a helpful community of other Cornerstone rehabilitation center patients to help you through your stay.

Post-Treatment Addiction Care #4

After completing one of our substance abuse treatments, you will continue to work on your recovery. Addiction treatment is often a time to retreat and learn new skills, fully engage with therapy, and grow your coping mechanism toolkit so that you may live your life without giving in to drug addiction outside of rehab. We do not have to return to real life without a support system. However, we must overcome the challenges of returning to reality: we face daily pressures and difficulties. Many people’s jobs, finances, and even social relationships are lost due to addiction or other problems. We want you to have a smooth and stress-free transition from one facility to the next. After addiction treatment, you will get assistance in coming up with an extended care plan for yourself following rehabilitation.

Costa Mesa Drug Rehab FAQs

In most cases, drug and alcohol rehab is covered by insurance. The specific coverage will depend on the type of insurance plan you have and the specific treatment services that are being provided. Many insurance plans provide coverage for a wide range of addiction treatment services, including inpatient and outpatient treatment, medication-assisted treatment, and counseling services. It is worth noting that some insurance plans may have limits on the number of treatment days or sessions that are covered, and there may be certain exclusions or requirements that must be met in order for treatment to be covered. Contact us to verify your insurance.

At Cornerstone we specialize in treating individuals with co-occurring disorders, also known as dual diagnosis. The average length of rehab is typically around 30 to 90 days. However, it is worth noting that the ideal length of rehab will vary from person to person, and it is important to choose a program that is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

The minimum length of rehab is usually a few days, although some programs may be shorter. These shorter programs are often referred to as “detox” programs, and they are designed to help the individual safely withdraw from the substance they are addicted to.

The maximum length of rehab is usually several months, although some programs may last longer. These longer programs are often referred to as “residential” programs, and they typically involve a more intensive level of treatment.

When you complete a rehab program, you will typically have a number of options for continuing your recovery journey. This may include developing an aftercare plan, returning to daily life, seeking ongoing support, and coping with challenges. The goal of rehab is to provide you with the tools and support you need to build a strong foundation for lasting recovery.

At our rehab center, the cost of drug and alcohol rehab can vary depending on the type of treatment being provided and the length of stay. Many insurance plans cover some or all of the cost of rehab, and we can help you verify your insurance to determine your coverage. If you have questions about the cost of rehab or how to pay for it, please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.
