For those who are facing an arraignment hearing for criminal charges relating to drug or alcohol abuse, it is important to seek professional advice as soon as possible. The judicial system is striving to reduce instances of recidivism, so if you can demonstrate the actions you are taking to address your addiction issues this will help you in your court case. We are happy to make court appearances on your behalf if necessary, to act as an advocate, and explain to the judge the steps you are taking to get on the road to recovery. We are able to provide a full continuum of programs, depending on assessment and court recommendations.

We assist your legal team in talking to district attorneys and judges to help negotiate a satisfactory resolution to your case. By participating in a treatment program through Cornerstone, the court will often allow day-for-day credit in lieu of custody. We can work with your attorney or lawyer or help you find one if you do not have one.

Cornerstone is known throughout the recovery community for its integrity and quality. We are a Joint Commission accredited, probation recognized, state-licensed & certified drug and alcohol abuse treatment program with an emphasis on relapse prevention. We have a team of excellent clinical professionals with many years of experience in helping those suffering from drug and alcohol problems. We have been helping addicts, alcoholics, and their families since 1984.

We Provide:

Complete Assessment (in and out of custody)

Our complete assessment will cover the parameters for enrollment, the recovery programs available, and your willingness to participate. We will also discuss the recommendations for monitoring and drug testing, the options for live-in/residential versus the outpatient treatment, and cover in detail all fees, program rules, and guidelines.

Enrollment

To enroll and begin participation in a recovery program you need to arrange an appointment with Cornerstone. A medical examination and occasionally a TB test will be carried out.

Minimum Level of Participation

You will be assigned a case manager at your first individual counseling session. You’ll be required to attend a minimum of one (1) group session with a maximum of five (5) individual sessions each week. From the date of enrollment, we’ll monitor your weekly sessions. You’ll work closely with your case manager who will monitor your daily attendance at 12-step AA, NA, or CA recovery meetings. Live-in residents are required to check in and out as permitted each day with a signature and all outpatient clients will be provided with a schedule of activities for the week.

Court Appearances

As requested by the Court, our individual case managers will provide letters of acceptance, progress, and completion. They will make appearances if required and requested by the Judge, client, and/or attorney.

Alcohol & Drug Testing/Monitoring

Throughout the program, random drug and alcohol testing can be requested by Cornerstone, the Court, or the probation department when deemed necessary. These tests are formed of alcohol breath testing and PharmaChem drug sweat patches. If ordered by the Court, monitoring is also available through the use of Antabuse, Revia (Naltrexone), and Suboxone.
