So what are the warning signs of severe alcoholism? Drinking alone, using any excuse to drink, needing alcohol to "function", inability to stop drinking("I can quit at any time" does not count), violence when drinking, drinking in secret/hiding alcohol around the house, lashing out when confronted about their drinking, poor eating habits, not caring about ones physical appearance and having uncontrollable shaking in themorning.

The problem with Mephedrone is people do not know what to believe as there is so much misinformation out there, it has come to light that not one of the UK deaths was down to Mephedrone alone and the case about the man who was supposed to have mutilated himself was posted on a forum stll with no facts to back it up and may be just a rumor. Also just to correct mephedrone is not a plant food and never was a plant food, it was designed to be a legal high from the start and was just sold as plant food to bypass certain laws that regulate the sale of medications so had to be sold as not for human consumption. Im not saying it is safe in fact the early signs are the drug is very damaging, im just woried that the people taking this drug will disregard everything when they read articles like this that they know not to be true and cause themselves long term harm. If i was to be giving advice to somebody who is going to take a drug to get high with effects like mephedrone i would advice them to stay away from Mephedrone and RC's in general and if they must take something then take an illegal dug such as MDMA or even Amphetamines which we know the long term effects. I do not condone the taking of illegal drugs but in this case it has to be a better option than an unknown RC surely?

I am glad that you took the time to read my post! Your opinions are.......just that, opinions. You give no factual basis for your claims and are quite mistaken in believing that 'most of the psychedelics are safe to use' by people with 'sound minds and psyches'. Many studies of those who use psychedelics have proven the extensive damage caused to the brain and the central nervous system by these substances. For example the use of ecstasy has been proven to actually make holes in the brain tissue of users. Mephedrone is not dangerous to the plants it was made to help grow, but it is dangerous to humans who consume it without knowing it's effects. These effects include blindness and comas, and in one case a man disfigured himself due to taking mephedrone. Please read further on this subject to get a true understanding and be careful of opinions based on feelings, not facts. Check out these links FYI- http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/humber/8574299.stm

I don't know about Mephedrone, but I do know that a lot of the drugs that SOME people (usually people who make a living, or a killing, tending the Drug War) cite as dangerous are NOT! I'm convinced that most of the psychedelics are safe to use, for people with sound minds and psyches, provided conditions are controlled, and that marijuana is almost perfectly safe, and much safer than most other human activities. You have given no real evidence or even argument that Mephedrone is dangerous, you've only said that it is. So why should we, or anyone else believe you? You MAY be correct, but your failure to reflect the truth in the past, regarding other drugs, puts your claims deeply in doubt. I suspect that if taken carefully, Mephedrone is not terribly dangerous.

lol some of the observations readers post make me giggle, in some cases i think about if they realistically read the information and threads before leaving your 2 cents or whether or not they take a moment to read the subject of the blog post and submit the very first thought that drifts into their heads. nonetheless, it is really pleasurable to read through intelligent commentary once in a while compared to the very same, classic oppinion vomit which i often notice on the web
